🙇🏼❌ Avoids common user mistakes

Sometimes too many technical terms can confuse the user. But when it is accompanied with tiny bits of information, it makes it easy for them to comprehend and take further action.

For example, users go through several errors while creating passwords because they are in the wrong format or reused passwords. Thus, create a copy that explains the requirements of the proper format for passwords.

⛅️ Provides clarity

Too much jargon, ambiguous information about the product demotivates your audience to take action.

Using microcopy around buttons and CTAs informs the user about what happens next and helps them feel more in control. For example, using microcopy when installing or updating a product lets the user know exactly what is, or will be, happening.

👀 Makes way for transparency

Transparency is one of the first things your user is looking for when they indulge with your product. They are trusting you with their personal information when they sign for the product.

A clear answer to why you are collecting the information will encourage them to engage with you. For example, LinkedIn. During the signup process for their premium service, they explain exactly why they need credit card details and how to avoid being charged.
