The biggest event of the year —Apple's launch event of the not-so-secret new iPhone 13 (and some other new devices and software).
Apple showcased the following new products in this launch event:
1.The iPhone 13 family
2.The new Apple Watch 7
3.The new iPad Mini
4.The iPad 2021
About the "new" iPhone 13 family
For the iPhone 13, I do not see much reason to buy this iterative non-pro iPhone 13 unless you want the cinematic mode, which works best with the pro version. If you have the iPhone 11 or lower, you may want to upgrade to iPhone 13 if you need 5G and the cinematic mode.
It comes with 128GB base storage, 120hz screen refresh rates (only in the pro series) and a bigger battery to match. The most attractive feature of iPhone 13 Pro is the camera upgrade. It comes with a cinematic mode which has the capability to replace Canon EOS C200.
Here's the stuff that matters, mostly for the Pro versions:
Changes to the design:
1.A smaller notch. iPhones still have a notch in 2021. They are inching close to their droid friends, but I think it will take a while before they switch to a notch-less display.
2.Sharp edges are just like the iPhone 5 I used to hate, and I prefer the soft rounded corners of the iPhone 11.
3.New, interesting colors. I like Sierra Blue the most.
4.New, diagonally placed cameras in the iPhone 13 and 13 mini to make them look different from iPhone 12.
The new and improved portrait mode—now in video (AKA the new Cinematic mode)!
